Summary of Activities by Glossop Youth Engagement Team this week.

Glossop SNT - School Lunch time Drop-in Session/Youth Engagements

PCSO Buller of the Glossop Youth Engagement Team (YET) completed one of our monthly school lunch time drop-in sessions at Glossopdale School & Sixth Form Newshaw Lane, Hadfield, today, Friday 6th February. 

When we complete this type of engagement with the students it allows the SNT to obtain their views, concerns, and challenges in a more informal and relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect opportunity to complete our Derbyshire Talking Youth Surveys with some of the young people during their lunchtime today. 

Later the same day he then attended Holy Trinity Church (C of E) at Dinting Vale, Dinting. To call in and engage with the young people who were attending the free regular TNT (Tea and Toast) drop-in sessions - for all secondary school pupils in Glossopdale (during term time). 

With free tea, hot chocolate, toast and games including crafts, all taking place in a safe and social space - specifically for teenagers.

Lastly this evening PCSO Buller called to visit Youth Matters New Mills, New Mills Youth Centre, Longlands Rd, New Mills   - to engage with the 11 + youth club attendees and volunteers who were there tonight – The youth club is held there every Friday (during term time) from 7 pm until 8.30 pm.

Providing a safe space for young people to socialise and to take part in a range of activities. There's a subsidised tuck shop serving drinks and snacks. Free pizza also on offer.
